The asbestos tiles on the lower level of the library will be removed Tuesday, December 30 and Wednesday, December 31. The library will be open on Tuesday and closed for the holiday on Wednesday. The downstairs will be completely contained in plastic sheeting, but please err on the side of caution and wait to visit the library on Friday, January 2, if you have any thought that you might be irritated by any possible fumes or dust.
After this project is completed, the renovation of the lower level will move forward and hopefully be completed by spring!
