Libraries Rock! Summer Reading Program Sign Up Begins!
June 2018
Hi Families!
Your children are invited to participate in Canaan Town Library’s Summer Reading Program and attend the fun events we are planning. This summer’s theme is Libraries Rock! and we will be “rocking out” with some great music-themed programming. All programs are free and open to all children, preschool through 5th grade.
Sign up begins June 25th!
This annual program is designed to encourage reading for pleasure in a relaxed environment, stimulate a lifelong reading habit, provide an opportunity to make friends and connect with library staff, and generally create interest in libraries. In addition to the basic reading program, our Super Saturday activities are:
July 7: 9:30 am: Storytime with Miss Amy Start the summer off in tune!
July 14: 10:00 am: Shake it! Create your own maracas!
July 17: 6:30 pm: Mascoma High School Auditorium: Junk 2 Funk!*
July 21:10:00 am: Rattle it! Make some noise with handmade tambourines!
July 27: 6 pm — 7:30 pm: Stuffed Animal Sleepover Lullabies and treats for you and your stuffed animals. (Only stuffed animals stay overnight)
July 28: 1 pm — 2 pm : Ice Cream Social Sing it out and celebrate reading!
