Congratulations to the defending champions!

That’s right, last year’s winning spelling bee team, Ex-spell-iarmus has held on to their Championship Spelling title for a second year!  Congratulations to Valerie Fleisher, Helina Josephson and Martin Downs.  All teams did fabulously, and must have studied their little stingers off!

Best Team Name trophies went to The Bee-elzebubs: Nancy Birkrem, Babara Baker and Alice Schori.

Best Team Costume trophies went to The Spell Chicks: Sue Jukosky, Melissa Allen and Elizabeth Chabot, not only were the costumes amazing, there was music and a dance to boot!

Thanks to all the teams for their hard work  and creativity.  Thanks also to Captain Canaan, Mr. Mascoma and Ken Munsey for playing the roles of Masters of Ceremony and Judge. And, of course, thanks to the Friends of the Canaan Town Library for making the night a success.
