Summer Reading Program: Ocean of Possibilities

Hi Families!

Water you doing this summer? We’re not squidding, we would love to have you join us for the Canaan Town Library Summer Reading Program: Ocean of Possibilities.

All programs are free and open to all children, preschool through 5th grade.  This year, we are hoping you will join us by playing our WHALEY GOOD READING BINGO!  Fill in the squares on your bingo card to win some great prizes.

July 16: Take and Make Craft Kit: Surf’s Up Suncatchers

July 30: Take and Make Craft Kit: Deep Blue Sea Mobiles

August 6: Take and Make Craft Kit: Pirates and Mermaids Ahoy!

August 13, 9:30 am: Storytime with Miss Amy*

August 20: Take and Make Craft Kit: Pirate Treasure Chests. . . Arghhh!

*Story times will take place at the outdoor classroom at Canaan Elementary School.

Summer Reading is designed to encourage reading for pleasure in a relaxed environment, stimulate a lifelong reading habit, provide an opportunity to make friends and connect with library staff, and generally create interest in libraries.
