DIG INTO READING!

Hi Families!

Your children are invited to participate in Canaan Town Library’s Summer Reading Program and attend the fun events we are planning. This summer’s theme, DIG INTO READING! uncovers all the wonders under our feet – from plants and underground animals, to buried treasure, evidence of ancient civilizations, insects, dinosaur bones and more!  All programs are free and open to all children, preschool through 5th grade.

Sign up begins June 24th!

This annual program is designed to encourage reading for pleasure in a relaxed environment.  In addition to the basic reading program, our Special Saturday activities are:

July  6: 11am – 2pm:  Celebrate Dirt!  Decorate a flowerpot and do some planting!

July 13: 9:15 am -10:15 am: Critters ‘N Creatures, live animal show at Cardigan Mountain School*

July 20: 11am – 2pm: Design your own Creepy Crawly.

July 26: 6pm- 7:30pm: Annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover (Only stuffed animals stay overnight)

July 27: 1pm – 2pm:   Pick up your animal friend and stay for the Ice Cream Social!

Dig into reading with us this summer by digging into the past, discovering what is underground or just bury yourself in a good book!

Happy Summer Reading!
