Fizz, Boom, Read!

Fizz

June 2014

Hi families!

Your children are invited to participate in Canaan Town Library’s Summer Reading Program and attend the fun events we are planning. This summer’s theme FIZZ, BOOM, READ! will encourage your child’s inner mad scientist to explore reading about and discovering the scientific world around them. All programs are free and open to all children, preschool through 5th grade.

This annual program is designed to encourage reading for pleasure in a relaxed environment. In addition to the basic reading program, our Special Saturday activities are:

July 5: 11 am-2 pm: Discover Your Senses : Test your senses in our science stations!

July 12: 10 am -11 am: The Magic of Science – live show at Cardigan Mountain School*

July 19: 11 am-2 pm: Microscopic Mysteries: Discover the amazing in the ordinary with a microscope!

July 25: 6 pm-7:30 pm: Stuffed Animal Sleepover (Only stuffed animals stay overnight)

July 26: 1 pm-2 pm: Pick up your animal friend and stay for the Ice Cream Social!

Put some fizz and bang into your summer by joining our reading program!
