Jane Brox and Don Metz This Thursday at the Meetinghouse Readings

Join us for the first evening in this, our 19th year, of Meetinghouse Readings.
PEN Northern New England will honor Jane Brox with the second annual PEN/NNE “Speaking Out” Award for her work in connecting our relationship to the land with issues of freedom and economic and social justice. Brox has written Here and Nowhere Else winner of the L.L. Winship/ PEN New England Award, Five Thousand Days Like This One, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and Clearing Land: Legacies of the American Farm, winner of the New England Book Award for Non-Fiction.

Don Metz of Lyme, NH is the author of the novels “Catamount Bridge” and “King of the Mountain” and a new memoir, “Confessions of a Country Architect”. Don has also written numerous books on architecture, a field in which he has pioneered energy-saving earth-integrated design.
